UI To Establish Idaho’s Second Healthcare Related School

The University of Idaho will be home to the state’s second healthcare related school.

The Idaho State Board of Education on Thursday approved the UI’s request to establish the School of Health and Medical Professions.  The school will have three departments, medicine, clinical medicine and nursing.  UI officials are creating the school to increase healthcare availability in North Idaho.

According to a state board press release the Gem State’s first healthcare related school is at Idaho State University.  ISU’s Division of Health and Sciences includes the college of health and pharmacy.
