The University of Idaho’s College of Education, Health and Human Sciences has announced the Vandal Outstanding Educator Award winners.
K-12 educators were nominated by University of Idaho Students for making a lasting impact on their lives.
Colin Briggs, a dedicated physical education teacher has made an extraordinary impact on both the Moscow School District and the University of Idaho.
Briggs is known for his innovative programs and guidance of practicum students. He has coordinated city-wide events, mentored future educators at U of I, and leads programs such as the GQ Club for boys at Lena Elementary School.
Briggs has twice been nominated for the SHAPE Idaho Teacher of the Year.
The honorees will be celebrated during the Idaho Vandal Football Educator Appreciation game Saturday, Oct. 19, at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome in Moscow.
