The University of Idaho has set new fundraising records during its annual Vandal Giving Day, collecting more than $1.28 million during the 1,889-minute online event held April 1-2. This year’s total surpassed last year’s record by nearly $153,000, a 13.5% increase.
The successful fundraising push helped the university achieve a significant milestone, as donations pushed U of I’s “Brave. Bold. Unstoppable.” campaign beyond its $500 million goal, marking the largest amount raised for any fundraising campaign in Idaho history.
The “Brave. Bold. Unstoppable.” campaign, which began in 2015, will continue through December 31 to further increase resources for scholarships, research, and university programs throughout the state.
This year’s Vandal Giving Day also saw increased participation, with 2,411 individual gifts compared to 2,324 in 2024. While most contributions came from donors in Idaho and Washington, the university received support from across the United States and internationally, including gifts from France, Australia, Wales, and Chile.
