Volunteers Extinguish Suspicious Brush Fire West of Pullman

Whitman County Fire District 12 Volunteers extinguished a suspicious brush fire West of Pullman Tuesday morning.

Volunteers based out of Pullman were called to the small blaze around 10:00.  The fire burned less than an acre of brush along Story Road near the breaks of the Snake River Canyon.

Chief Lester Erwin says there was nothing obvious that would have sparked the flames.  The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office was notified about the fire.

Whitman County Fire District 14 out of Colton-Uniontown to the South has had several suspicious fires over the past couple of years in the Snake River Canyon.
