Voting begins for new playground equipment in Moscow

The City of Moscow is seeking help from the community to select new playground equipment for the Jim Lyle Rotary Park in Moscow. The city plans to replace the wooden playground structure located at the park on the northwest corner of the intersection of East F. St. and Orchard Ave.

Community members are invited to vote for their preferred playground design at Voting opens tomorrow, January 15, and closes on February 14 at 3:00 p.m.

The community is also invited to attend one of two public forums to see displays of proposed designs and hear from City staff and the Rotary Club of Moscow. Paper and online voting will be available at both forums. The first forum is Monday, January 27, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 pm and the second is Tuesday, February 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The forums will be held in the multipurpose room of the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center.

The final playground design will be selected later in March after consideration by the Rotary Club of Moscow, the Parks and Recreation Commission, and City Council.
