Washington State University Completes New Upgrades to Student Recreation Center

The Washington State University Student Recreation Center underwent numerous upgrades over the summer that WSU students, faculty and staff have been enjoying over the fall semester.

Upgrades done to the Student Rec Center included resurfacing of the pool deck, a complete makeover of its mechanical room, and the pool and spa are now back in service.

The renovations impacted a lot of key areas within the facility, but projects were staggered throughout the summer to lessen the impact on users.

The total costs of the projects were just over $4 million. Most of the funding for this project came from student fees, non-student memberships and fees for programs.
