The Whitman County Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for some pets during its Barkinglot event in Pullman Saturday.
The event is part of the national Clear the Shelters campaign and runs from 1 to 5 p.m.
Adoption fees will be waived for all adult and senior dogs and cats. Kittens will be $125 for one or $175 for two.
Walk-in meet-and-greets with dogs and cats will be available without an appointment. WCHS says its normal adoption process still applies, and adopters must have an approved application onsite.
The event will also include a donation drive for shelter supplies. Needed items include cat litter, dog treats, laundry detergent, paper towels, leashes, garbage bags and other supplies.
