With three days left in the campaign, the Whitman County Humane Society has announced that they have passed their Kitten Shower’s $3,000 fundraising goal three times over, raising an incredible $9,800.
One local resident donated $5,000, enough to cover kitten vaccinations and spay/neuter procedures for the new arrivals. The Lauren McCluskey Foundation provided a $1,500 pledge match, following an earlier $500 match that was quickly met. These matching programs doubled the impact of many donations.
“This has been our most successful Kitten Shower yet,” said Lori Jordan, Board of Directors at WCHS. “We are beyond thankful to every person and business who stepped up to help. These funds allow us to make critical upgrades and provide lifesaving care during the busiest time of our year.”
There’s still time for you to support the May Kitten Shower. Residents can drop off supplies at WCHS or these community partners:
- Chipman & Taylor Chevrolet, Pullman
