Whitman County Receives State Grant For Coronavirus Response

Whitman County has received a grant from the State of Washington to help people and businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Washington Department of Commerce has allocated about 120,000 dollars to Whitman County.  The money can be used at the discretion of the county to meet a variety of emerging local needs like providing food and rental assistance, small business support and health services.

The state has allocated nearly 2 million dollars in grants to rural counties around Washington.
