WSU Burn Ban Prohibiting Wood And Gas Campfires And Charcoal Grills Remains In Effect

Washington State University’s burn ban prohibiting wood and gas campfires and charcoal grills remains in effect.

According to the university’s website the burn ban is still in place.  Gas grills are allowed if they are used on a nonflammable surface at least 5 feet from flammable vegetation.

The WSU burn ban is set to run 7 more weeks through nearly all of the Cougar football home season.  Governor Jay Inslee’s statewide burn ban which allows charcoal grills and gas campfires is set to expire at the end of the month.

Tailgaters are in Pullman this weekend for the WSU football game against Portland State tomorrow.  Pullman could see up to a quarter inch of rain between this afternoon and kickoff.
