Washington State University’s enrollment is down 7.7% at 27,539.
The WSU Regents Strategic and Operational Excellence Committee received the enrollment report during its meeting this Thursday.
Since the start of the pandemic, enrollment has declined.
WSU’s peak enrollment systemwide was in the fall of 2019 at 31,607.
This year’s report shows the lowest WSU systemwide enrollment since at least 2013.
Total enrollment at WSU Pullman declined from 19,114 in the fall of 2021 to 17,827 this fall.
The number of new first-year students is up to 3,324, a 0.6% increase since last fall.
