Washington State University football coach Nick Rolovich extinguished a small fire inside “The Bubble” where his players were conditioning on Monday afternoon.
City of Pullman Firefighters were called to a small electrical fire in the indoor training facility around 3:15. The fire in an electrical junction box was put out by the time firefighters arrived.
WSU Fire and Safety Compliance Officer Darren Jones says that Coach Rolovich put out the flames. You can listen to Jones’s comment by clicking on the audio file below.
The fire caused about 500 dollars in damage to the junction box. The temporary air-supported structure wasn’t damaged. The Cougar football players continued with their conditioning inside “The Bubble.”
