WSU Football player arrested for Felony Robbery and Assault for allegedly mugging a man on College Hill for his beer

A Washington State University football player was arrested Monday for felony robbery and assault for allegedly mugging a man for his beer on Pullman’s College Hill last Spring.  Pullman Police arrested and released U’umaulauaganu’u “Logan” Tago for 2nd degree robbery and 2nd degree assault following a lengthy investigation.  The case began on the afternoon of June 4th when a 23 year old Pullman man told police that he was mugged early that morning.  The alleged victim told officers that he was walking on California Street around 1:30 carrying a pack of beer.  He says he was approached by several men who demanded the beer and when he refused he was assaulted by the group.  The suspects stole the beer while the victim suffered a concussion in the attack.  The victim was reportedly able to positively identify one of the suspects as Tago.  After several months of investigation Pullman Police were able to obtain enough evidence to arrest Tago at the police station when he arrived for another interview with detectives.  Other persons of interest have been identified by the Pullman PD but no additional arrests have been made in this case.  The sophomore linebacker from American Samoa is listed in the depth chart as a possible starter at linebacker for the Cougars.  This marks the third assault investigation this Summer involving WSU football players.  Two of those cases have led to arrests.
