WSU Global Campus Chancellor Dave Cillay Named Interim Pullman Campus Chancellor

Washington State University’s Global Campus Chancellor Dave Cillay has been named Interim WSU Pullman Campus Chancellor.

Cillay will continue as global campus chancellor when he takes over for Elizabeth Chilton who is leaving to become president of the University of New Hampshire.  He will become Interim WSU Pullman Chancellor on June 3rd.  Chilton will take the New Hampshire job on July 1st.

WSU Systemwide President Kirk Schulz is indicating that he plans to let the next administration hire a new permanent Pullman chancellor.  Schulz is retiring next year.  Earlier this month Schulz stated that he would review the administrative structure with the interim Pullman chancellor and provost.  WSU’s new provost who will also replace Chilton begins working in July.

Schulz created the Pullman chancellor position two years ago when he promoted himself to systemwide president so he could focus on the entire institution statewide.

Cillay will be moving into the Ida Lou Anderson house on campus later this summer.  The home used to be known as the president’s mansion before becoming the Pullman campus chancellor’s home.

Cillay has been the global campus chancellor since 2019 when the post was created.  Before that he worked seven years at WSU as Vice President of Academic and Outreach Innovation.
