WSU Mom’s Weekend features Wine, Comedy and new this year Pole Dancing

     One of the busiest weekends of the year in Pullman is on tap as thousands of mothers of college students will be in town.  Mom’s Weekend at Washington State University features dozens of events.  It all starts with wine tasting at Noon Friday at the Brelsford Visitor Center.  Other Friday events include The 33rd annual mom’s weekend wine fest from 5:00 to 10:00 inside Todd Hall.  The 34th annual fashion show starts at 7:30 inside Beasley Coliseum. 

     Saturday kicks off with the Mom of the Year Brunch begining at 10:30 at the Lewis Alumni Centre.  The Taste of CAHNRS wine event is from 1:30 to 4:00 inside the Ensminger Pavilion.  The 32nd annual WSU Mom’s Weekend Lu’au starts at 2:30 at the Student Recreation Center.  The Crimson and Chardonnay wine tasting begins at 5:00 at the alumni centre.  Wine Fest at Valhalla is from 5:00 to 7:00 Saturday night at the bar on Colorado Street next to campus.  While the annual WSU Mom’s Weekend performance will be from comedian Brian Regan.  The show starts at 7:30 Saturday night inside Beasley. 

     New this year for WSU Mom’s Weekend is a pole dancing fitness class.  The free pole dancing classes for students and their mothers are from 7:00 to 8:00 Friday night and again from 1:00 to 2:30 Saturday in the new Chinook Student Center.  You can find a complete list of WSU Mom’s Weekend events here
