Washington State University President Betsy Cantwell has been named to a new state council focused on strengthening Washington’s commercial space industry.
Gov. Bob Ferguson created the Governor’s Space Council through an executive order signed at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Cantwell will serve alongside representatives from the commercial space industry, aerospace and advanced manufacturing, higher education, labor and other sectors. The council will advise the governor on ways to keep Washington competitive in the growing space economy.
