Washington State University President Kirk Schulz discussed the situation surrounding football coach Nick Rolovich’s vaccination status during the faculty senate meeting today.
Rolovich announced in July that he wasn’t vaccinated. Since then, Washington Governor Jay Inslee has mandated that state higher education employees get vaccinated, receive a religious or medical exemption or lose their job. The deadline for the governor’s vaccine mandate for state workers is coming up next month. Rolovich has since stated that he will comply with the governor’s order.
President Schulz addressed the Rolovich situation during the faculty senate meeting saying that all WSU employees will be treated the same. You can listen to his comment by clicking on the audio file below.
