WSU Seeking Adults Over 50 for New Smart Home Study

Washington State University is recruiting participants over the age of 50 for a new smart home study.

Researchers in the Department of Psychology and School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at WSU are examining how to use sensor data to create an understanding of a person’s everyday routine to support more proactive health care. The sensors are placed around the home and track movement and temperature. Researchers believes the program will help provide future older individuals dealing with memory difficulties effective tools to help maintain their independence and quality of life.

WSU is seeking adults age 50 and over who are fluent in English and live within approximately an hour and a half of WSU Pullman campus. Participants will receive payment and two brief neuropsychological reports.
