WSU Selects Four Finalists For Provost

Four finalists have been selected for Washington State University Provost.  The names of the candidates haven’t been released.

They will take part in zoom-based interviews starting on Monday.  Each candidate will participate in a public question and answer session that will be streamed online.  The names of the finalists will be released 48 hours prior to their scheduled interviews.

WSU hopes to name a new provost next month.  Provost is the second highest ranking administrative position at WSU.

The hire will replace Interim Provost Bryan Slinker who was appointed to the position following the abrupt resignation of Mitzi Montoya.  Montoya resigned last Summer after just a few weeks on the job.  Allegations surfaced months later that sexism may have played a role in her resignation.  Those allegations are now being investigated by WSU.
