A free smaller scale Haunted Palouse event will be taking place starting this weekend.
The Unofficial Haunted Palouse will run this weekend and next weekend on Friday and Saturday from 7:00 to 10:00 in downtown Palouse. The event will include a kids fair from 2:00 to 6:00. According to a post on Facebook, the event is a low-key celebration organized by longtime Haunted Palouse volunteers.
Official Haunted Palouse leaders announced on Facebook that the longstanding event to raise money for local community groups was canceled this year due to a lack of volunteers. Those organizers hope to bring back Haunted Palouse next year. Haunted Palouse was canceled in 2023 for a reorganization.
