Community Lunch in Garfield

The monthly community lunch in Garfield will be held on Thursday at noon at the Legion Hall.  They will be serving Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, mixed fruit, dessert and ice cream.  Cost is $3, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Palouse Hills Muzzle Loaders Rendezvous Camp & Shoot
Jun 21 – Jun 23 all-day
The Palouse Hills Muzzle Loaders will host a rendezvous camp and shoot on June 21 thru 23rd, near Colfax Washington.
The campsite and shooting range are on private land along the scenic Palouse River.
Competitions include shooting matches with traditional style, round’-ball rifles and pistols.    There will also be a traditional archery trail as well as tomahawk and knife throwing matches.
1800s period attire is encouraged, and vendors will be present to supply ammunition and accoutrements.
Modern campers and frontier style tent camps are all welcome! Bring your own water.
Day shooters pay $10, overnight camps pay $30.  There will be a potluck dinner Saturday evening.
Follow signs to the Palouse Hills Rendezvous from Highway 26 in Colfax.  Take Green Hollow Road to Manning Road, and the last 2-1/2 miles are gravel.

Fishing Derby in Bovill, ID

BCPC’s 7th Annual Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday from 8am-2pm at Moose Creek Reservoir in Bovill.  Entry fee is $10 per person or $5 with a canned food donation.  All participants must have a legal fishing license and fish must be taken legally.  This is the only charitable fishing derby in Idaho with all proceeds going to a local charity.  They will be giving cash prizes for heaviest trout (+other fish), prizes for oldest/youngest fisher, smallest fish & more – you must be present to win.
