University of Idaho’s food pantry celebrates new central location

University of Idaho’s non-perishable food pantry debuts new headquarters on campus. There will be a grand opening with a ribbon cutting and open house on Wednesday at 1 pm outside Shoup Hall, the new location for the Vandal food Pantry.

This is the first place where people can browse the entire stock. Previously the pantry had a decentralized cabinet system.

Event attendees are encouraged to donate non-perishables, such as canned goods, pastas or cereal. The Pantry will soon partner with the Idaho Food Bank to distribute food. Anyone including students or community members have free access to these food items.
