Water Safety Reminders From U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is reminding the public to stay safe on the water this holiday weekend.

The agency manages the region’s most popular waterways including the Snake River and Dworshak Reservoir.  Corps officials are urging everyone to wear a life jacket on the water, keep an eye out for floating debris, beware of cold-water temperatures and don’t drink and boat.  The corps also notes that cliff jumping and diving is prohibited on agency lands.
