WSU Reverses Decision And Is Not Charging Students For Coronavirus Testing

Washington State University has reversed its decision to start charging students for coronavirus testing.

WSU Spokesman Phil Weiler says that they decided to return to free coronavirus testing for students after the story was first reported here at pullmanradio.com Wednesday morning.  The Cougar Health Services webpage which announced the charges for student testing has since been updated.

WSU Pullman students who have coronavirus symptoms need to contact Cougar Health Services to set up an appointment for free testing by calling 509-335-3575.  WSU Pullman faculty, staff, and students who are not experiencing coronavirus symptoms but want to get testing need to go to the Washington National Guard site at Beasley Coliseum.  Those tests are also free, and no appointment is needed for guard testing.
