US-95 Rock Scaling Near Riggins To End In January

Drivers can expect rock scaling on US 95 between Riggins and the Time Zone Bridge to finish in January 2025. The work began in early October to improve conditions on the highway by removing loose rock and installing anchors to stabilize the hillside above the road.

In the meantime, drivers should still expect delays of up to 30 minutes for safety while work continues above the roadway. Work will temporarily stop on December 22 to avoid increasing delays for holiday travelers.

Crews will return to the site for a few weeks in the spring to repave the US 95 where it was damaged during scaling.
